FL2 Focus Explorer provides a visual representation of team availability for FL2 coordination work to improve planning and coordination among multiple teams.
How much of a team's time actually goes into FL2 coordination? You might not want to know. But you need to.
A supplementary chart showing each team's available capacity for FL2 coordination work over time — making team availability visible alongside the board.
The Problem
Your FL2 board involves many teams. But not all of them spend the same time on FL2 coordination. One team is 80% available. Another is at 15% — deep in a critical operational issue. If you plan as if all teams are equally available, your coordination will fail.
How It Works
Each team gets a simple area chart next to the board showing their FL2 Focus Time — how much of their capacity goes into FL2 work — over time. Left of "today" shows actual values; right shows estimates. Precision is not the goal — orders of magnitude are. Is a team at ~10%? ~50%? ~100%? When one team is visibly at 15% and another at 80%, the question surfaces naturally: should they be expected to contribute equally?
When to Use It
- Many teams are involved in FL2 and their availability varies significantly
- Not all of a team's work is visible on the FL2 board
- Planning assumptions about team availability are often wrong
