Libertee Thinking Tools offers methods like Tetralemma and Polarity Mapping to enhance decision-making and manage ongoing tensions in various settings.
Thinking tools for critical, open, forward-thinking. Designed to help people move beyond habitual patterns and make better decisions — in workshops, coaching sessions, or on your own.
What's Here
Two complementary methods for navigating complex decisions and tensions:
Tetralemma — When you're stuck between two options, the Tetralemma expands your view from two to five positions. Move past either/or thinking and discover possibilities you hadn't considered.
Polarity Mapping — When you're dealing with a tension that keeps coming back, Polarity Mapping helps you manage both sides instead of trying to pick one. Stop the endless oscillation between extremes.
How They Work Together
Use the Tetralemma when you need a decision — when you're stuck and need to move forward. It's a one-time intervention that reliably unlocks movement in 45-60 minutes.
Use Polarity Mapping when you're dealing with an ongoing tension — two things that are both important and seem to pull in opposite directions. It's a framework for managing that tension well over time.
Sometimes you'll start with one and discover you need the other: the Tetralemma might reveal that your "dilemma" is actually a polarity to manage, or Polarity Mapping might show that what you thought was an ongoing tension actually has a clear resolution.
These methods come from established facilitation practice and have been used in workshops, coaching, and organizational development for decades. They are also available as structured AI sessions through the libertee plugin for Claude Code.
