How can we design future proof organizations? A small barcamp with a big topic. Looking forward to meet new people.

I had a great day in the Hub42 coworking space, connected to quite some Blue Tomato people before and during the barcamp.
Fun fact: The building was a production facility of “machbox” - an 80s toy car manufacturer.
During the barcamp I’ve invited to a session that introduced to Flight Levels and made the connection to the overarching barcamp topic “Resilient Organizations”. I’ve framed it to “Future Proof Business Models” and finished with 3 theses:
- Resilience arises from viable aka functioning business models. They come into the world through strategy being connected with the operational work (➡️ Flight Level 3)
- Non-trivial products and services are created through suitable practices for coordination and planning between teams/departments/functions/… They come into the world with effective work systems for coordination (➡️ Flight Level 2)
- The idea of high-performing teams is a myth. High-performing teams (➡️ Flight Level 1) need a suitable environment for coordination and alignment.
Here are the slides I’ve used (German):
